Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you enjoy my work.Since this is a bio maybe your interested in my past. I was born & raised in the suburbs of Kansas City.My schooling consisted of: Cherokee Elementary, Broadmoor Junior High, Shawnee Mission West Highschool. After highschool, I joined the army in '87 when I was 20 (yep, now I'm 40) and spent 2 years in Germany. I went to college at JC Community College & the University of Kansas, where I studied sociology & psychology and graduating in '96 at 29.
When I moved back to KC in '98 I began hanging around some creative people and at the same time found a occupation I'm passionate about - carpentry. I've had some great clients that come up with challenging projects, I've made all kinds of stuff. I started carving wood in January of '99 and lived next door to an ex-head shop in Westport, called "Temple Slug". The four years spent in that house was my education. That time changed my life and I found my calling- making neat shit.
I've had one gallery opening in 2000 and found I'ld rather show my stuff in the street. At some point I'll be replicating my carvings in resin and am always looking for interesting new projects. If you have any ideas drop me a line.
Then in the summer of '04, I began making finger-painted pet portraits and two years later am up to 200. In '05, I went to Phoenix and LA for 5 months and painted from dog park to dog park.I spent time in Laurel Canyon Dog
Park and left some paintings on the fence.
When I visited in May they were still up....
