If your home has soft spots around the
windows, trim, or siding you have wood
rot. All homes built between '84 & '96
get wood rot do to the change in building
practices. In the '80s, mills began to use
farmed, genetically enhanced wood to make
windows and siding, this wood has a weak
cellular structures as will allow water to
wick up inside and destroy the wood. The
wood should have been sealed on the cut
ends and moisture wouldn't get in. I've been
repairing rot for 20 years, since it all began,

• Never use a 'crew' for you repairs - I'm the expert & I

• Never use vinyl - vinyl does not last forever, it cracks,

doesn't breathe like the house, its toxic, and doesn't hold
paint very well. Wood last forever if treated properly

• Prime all raw wood - I prime all sides of each piece to make

sure water won't get in.
